Misir Wat (Red Lentils)
Country: DjiboutiCourse: Side
Makes: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 4 tomatoes, diced
- 1 1/2 cups orange lentils
- Water
Directions:
- Saute the onion in the oil, then add the tomatoes.
- When the onions are translucent and the tomatoes are soft, add the lentils and the water. Boil until the lentils are tender, about 20 minutes.
