Shashlik (Beef Kebabs)

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cayene pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  1. Salt the beef cubes and set aside. Mix all the rest of the ingredients together in a bowl, mixing well, an pour over the beef. Let marinade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.
  2. Heat your grill and cook on both sides to the desired doneness. Take them off the grill and brush on a little bit of pomegranate molasses just before serving.
