Apfelmus (Applesauce)

Makes: about 2 2/3 cups


  • 2 lbs apples (I used Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla sugar
  1. Peel and core the apples. Roughly chop them and then put them in a large pot with the juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until soft. Mash them with a potato masher and season to your liking with cinnamon and vanilla sugar.
