Apfelmus (Applesauce)
Country: GermanyCourse: Sauce
Makes: about 2 2/3 cups
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs apples (I used Granny Smith)
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla sugar
- Peel and core the apples. Roughly chop them and then put them in a large pot with the juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until soft. Mash them with a potato masher and season to your liking with cinnamon and vanilla sugar.
